Sidney Ushurhe, 1st Dan
Sidney started practising Goju Ryu karate in 2005 After been inspired from a childhood of movies, power rangers, anime and playing fighting games, Sidney begun his martial arts journey walking into DKK London ‘in 2005. “The fight or flee rush of my first class isn’t one I’ll easily ever forget, walking in to the dojo, seeing all these people in gi’s and belts and then been paired with a 6 foot + giant as my first sparring partner, I questioned what I was even doing there. But when my first class ended, I found myself replaying every movement in my head over and over again like a movie, before I knew it was back at the dojo doors again. Training for me has always been a struggle, but that struggle is where I rise up to the challenge”
Sidney attained his black belt Shodan-Ho in 2020, however due to medical reasons had to delay grading to full Shodan till DKK summer camp 2022.
